What We Do
We Work With Individuals, Families, & Groups
Social Interaction Clubs
Our social interaction groups provide weekly activity programmes for children and young people. Our staff and volunteers work with our social group members to encourage social interaction, communication, sensory integration and life skills.
Therapy
We have music therapy, art therapy, play therapy and more. These promote social and communication skills, as well as mental and emotional growth. Come along and see our fantastically equipped music room. Visits from schools are also encouraged.
Family Support
We have regular sessions for Parents and Toddlers (open to all parents and guardians of toddlers or pre-school children), counselling services, as well as monthly support groups and get-togethers for Parents, and Siblings.
Get in Touch. Get Involved.
Dóchas Midwest Autism Support was established by parents in 1997 in response to the need for an organisation to represent the needs of people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the Mid-West region. The charity supports children, young adults and their families.
